About
I immigrated to the US from South Africa in 1990. I worked as a graphic designer but grew tired of a career based in two dimensions alone and craved the ability to build and create in three dimensions.
My pursuit of this led me through a series of apprenticeships. The first was sign making for a local company. The second was woodworking and historic renovations with fellow immigrant Michael Higson. The third was shop fitting or on site cabinetry and installation in Edinburgh, Scotland. The fourth was cabinetry and furniture building back in the US and lastly, I discovered a new world of precision and skill in motorcycle building and design under the watchful eye of Buck Burgess.
This has been both a continuing process and natural progression for someone who is at his best creating by hand.
